Puskesmas Visitors Must Wash Hands and Wear Masks

As we know, the government has mandated universal face mask use outdoors until an effective vaccine is available. To support it, the Kembangan Sub-district Puskesmas, West Jakarta has obligated its visitors to wash their hands first using soap and wearing a face mask.

They (visitors) have to wash their hands to minimize the carrying of the virus from the patient's hand to another patient

Kembangan Sub-district Puskesmas Head Leny Ariyani said washing hands using soap and running water is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

"We have four hand washing facilities complete with soap. They (visitors) have to wash their hands to minimize the carrying of the virus from the patient's hand to another patient," she expressed, Tuesday (4/7).

They also require wearing a mask according to the Governor's Call number 9/2020 on the Use of Masks to minimize the spread of coronavirus signed on April 3.

"It is because there are many positive people without symptoms," he said.
